New partner comes aboard

Today is a big day for The Remarkables Group, as we announce a new partner in the business, following our change of direction in late 2016.

Natalie Giddings has joined as a Director in the business. Most recently, Natalie was Managing Director of Society Social in Melbourne – part of the IPG Mediabrands stable of agencies, a role she held for 2.5 years.

Prior to Society Social, she ran her own digital consultancy business, Pollen.  She has run digital and content campaigns for some of Australia’s leading brands, including: Coles, Kmart, Bunnings, Target, John West, Birds Eye, Leggos, SpecSavers, HostPlus, Industry Super and CSR.

In October 2016, we announced our departure from our previous model of influencer representation to instead focus on providing independent, unbiased strategic advice to brands, and as of the 1st January 2017, we have been operating in the new model.  We are thrilled to announce Westpac and BIC amongst our new client wins.

Lorraine Murphy, Founder and Managing Director of The Remarkables Group said: “The recent months have been the most challenging, and also exciting, of the business’s five year lifespan. There is a lot of great work being done in the influencer space in Australia and globally. However – as with any rapidly-commoditised industry – it is also rife with problems. Our new model is specifically designed to address those problems and the response from brands has been very positive.

Having Natalie come onboard at this point in the business’s trajectory is incredibly exciting, and she brings influencer expertise alongside a broader perspective of the social and media landscape – which is already adding remarkable value to our clients. On a personal level, it’s wonderful to have a fellow captain of the ship, having led the business solo since it began.”

Natalie Giddings, Director of The Remarkables Group said: “The timing of this opportunity couldn’t be more exciting for me, as The Remarkables Group pioneers in the influencer marketing space yet again. Influencer strategy has played a key role in the strategies I have worked with past clients on, and I’m looking forward to being part of a more specialised offer.”

Natalie will continue to be based in Melbourne and visit the Sydney team fortnightly.
